  • Visit the helipad from your destination. Arrive at your reporting time, which is 1 hour before helicopter departure.

2. Baltal/Neelgrath Helipad To Panjtarni Helipad

  • The distance between Baltal and Panjtarni is approximately 12 kilometers, and the flight time is approximately 8-10 minutes. Neelgrath to Panjtarni is approximately 16 kilometers away, and the time taken by helicopter is 10–15 minutes. These two helipads are working for the Amarnath Yatra.

3. Panjtarni Helipad To Amarnath Cave

Only the BSNL network is operational at the Lower Cave Helipad, and data services are unavailable. In case you are lost or lose any of your group members, there is a public announcement (PA) system at the lower-cave helipad.

Q14. Is COVID-19's negative report required for the Amarnath Yatra?

Ans. Yes. It is mandatory to carry either a valid final COVID vaccination certificate or a valid and verifiable negative RT-PCR COVID report taken within 72 hours of arrival.
